Founder and Managing Director

Prof. Dr. Markus Riemenschneider

Markus is one of the founders and is responsible for R&D as Managing Director. He wrote his doctoral thesis at the Technical University of Munich and received his diploma in electrical engineering from the University of Saarland in Saarbrücken. He holds more than 10 patents in the field of modern ECG application and electronics. He is also a member of several national (DKE) and international (IEC) committees for standardisation (e.g. ECG and risk management in medical IT networks), which develop national and influential international standards in the field of diagnostics, electromedical devices and medical IT networks. He also teaches medical technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg.

As our technical brain, he has led the development of CardioSecur's hardware and software since the beginning of the company's history. Thanks to his passion for measurement technology and mobile ECG devices, we are now able to offer our customers a mobile 22-channel ECG with which 360 degrees of the heart can be imaged. And this was certainly not the last innovation.

Markus has been working with ECG technologies and their evaluation for more than 20 years, from which he benefits in his daily work. Above all, his research in the fields of measurement technology and telecommunications at the Technical University of Munich and at SIEMENS helps him realise his visions in the field of portable ECG systems in connection with mobile devices. In addition, he was able to gain valuable experience in the field of telemedicine as a freelance consultant for SIEMENS and the Frauenhofer-Gesellschaft, among others.
