FAQs

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is generated with an electrical device (electrocardiograph). An ECG measures the electrical voltage emitted by the human heart, creating a curve on the ECG with each beat. Physicians can diagnose possible disturbances of the heart by analysing these curves. A typical clinical-grade ECG requires 10 electrodes, which are attached to the body, in order to receive information from 12 leads.

CardioSecur Active is an innovative mobile ECG system for private use. Requiring only four electrodes, it records a clinical-quality 15-lead ECG, and provides a clear recommendation to act in moments when you need certainty of your heart. The entire system consists of a 50 gram CardioSecur cable with four electrodes, the free CardioSecur Active app and your own smartphone or tablet.

Whenever you experience symptoms (i.e. chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness or palpitations), or simply want to check your heart health.

a. Download the free CardioSecur Active app and follow the step-by-step instructions.

b. Connect your CardioSecur cable to your mobile device, attach the four self-adhesive electrodes to your upper body and perform a baseline (reference) reading.

c.  Recording and saving your reference reading takes less than one minute. Your app is now personalized and ready to be used.

d.  Further control readings are carried out using the same procedure. These will be compared with your initial reference reading. You will receive feedback with a trigger to act directly in the application.

a.  An ECG is like a a unique fingerprint of your heart—it will only change if there is a pathologic reason. Therefore, the comparison of a reference reading and a future control reading can be used to recognize changes in your heart health.

b.  Changes are broken down into three possible recommendations to act:

  •   No changes: No need for action (neutral).
  •   Minor changes: A doctor's visit is recommended (yellow).
  •   Significant changes: See a doctor immediately (red).

If symptoms last for more than 20 minutes, cardiology guidelines recommend seeking medical care immediately.

Anyone who would like to have clarity about their heart’s condition, anytime and anywhere.

On your user account: When you are registered via the App with your user account information, your ECG readings will be synchronized to your account. The data is managed on secure proprietary servers located in Germany. Yes. Numerous studies have proven that the CardioSecur ECG technology is comparable to that used in hospitals, clinics and medical practices.
